Today we came across a July 1970 registration certificate for a mineral claim on Elvo Station named “Jackson’s Joy.”
More than 50 years later, that name has found its way back into the Winton opal story.
And this stone felt like the perfect one to carry it. 💙💚
Jackson’s Joy is a beautiful 12mm concave-cut boulder opal, alive with an electric mix of deep blue, turquoise and vivid emerald green. The colour dances across the face in a dense, lively pattern of fine green and blue flashes, with bright pinfire-like areas and larger patches of intense blue breaking through.
A stone with colour, character and now, a little piece of history attached to its name. Jackson’s Joy — 1970 to today. 💙💚
