A 8.26 carat Boulder Opal, beautifully shaped with a softly rounded rectangular profile, this stone has incredible depth and movement. Its intricate patterning reveals distinct horizontal layers of colour, reminding us of the underground strata and flowing water of Queensland's Great Artesian Basin.
Inspired by the artesian bores scattered throughout our outback, where water travels through ancient layers of rock beneath the earth before reaching the surface.
Just like those hidden underground waterways, this stone reveals layer upon layer of natural beauty, with brilliant flashes of colour dancing across its surface.
A beautiful piece of Queensland's outback captured in opal.
